Dr. Ozkan Ozgun is Professor of Early Childhood Education at Cukurova University, Adana, Turkey, Couple and Family Therapist, and Play Therapist. He also worked as Research Associate at University of Alberta, Department of Human Ecology. In addition he was a visiting professor at University of Alberta Department of Psychology, and Department of Human Ecology in Edmonton, Canada.
Dr. Ozgun has served as editor of the Cukurova University Faculty of Education Journal. He is the author of the books: "Parental Involvement, Stress and Social Support: Families of Atypical and Typical Children", and "New to the Field of Education: What Now?". He is also the coeditor of the volume "Contemporary Perspectives and Research on Early Childhood Education".
Dr. Ozgun obtained his BSc from Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey, and his MSc and Ph.D. degrees from Syracuse University, New York, USA. His current work focuses on family functioning of families with young children and diverse compositions and ethno-cultural origins.
