AI-Supported Learning and Computer Science Education Research Group
Welcome to the pages of the Research Group on AI-Assisted Learning and Computer Science Education.
The group works on programming education, AI-assisted feedback, learning analytics, microlearning, and digital assessment. Our current focus is AI-assisted instructional systems, but the group's track record reaches further back. The projects listed here follow successive waves of technology integration in vocational higher education since 2008: EU-funded distance and e-learning projects, gamified mobile learning applications, augmented reality, and microlearning studies.
We are currently running a university-funded (BAP) research project on adapting an open-source large language model for pedagogical use in programming instruction and testing its effectiveness.
We welcome collaboration on interdisciplinary research, project development, expert review, multi-centre data collection, and joint publication. Current projects, research calls, and open invitations are announced on these pages.
