Prof. Dr. Ahmet PINARBAŞI This study is a report of an investigation of the flow in wide-angled screened diffusers. Wide-angle diffusers have the immediate advantage of compactness in engineering applications. Perforated plates find many practical applications in industry as flow control devices, in particular to control the flow emerging from a wide-angle diffuser, with applications to electrostatic precipitator design. Experimental data describe the behavior of the flow emerging from the perforated plates in relation to the measuring locations and geometry of the perforated plates. Five-hole Pitot tube is used to measure the flow direction, static pressure and local velocity in non-uniform three- dimensional flow fields.
