Özet

The side effects of organophosphorous insecticides have been investigated in farmers, farm workers, pilots, technicians and consumers by measuring their cholinesterase enzyme (ChE) levels. In samples of some 100 persons each, the activity of BChE was on average 1.34+/-0.71 U/ml in Icel, 1.706+/-0.609 U/ml in Adana, compared to 1.777+/-0.411 U/ml in the control.
