Özet

The aim of this study is to determine the effects of blog-based digital writing processes on digital writing skills, attitudes towards technology, and 21st century skills of Turkish Language Teaching Department students. The study employed a mixed research method, combining quantitative and qualitative research methods. This study employed a single-group pretest-posttest experimental design, which is quasi-experimental in nature. The research group consists of third-year students studying in the Turkish Language Teaching Department at a state university in Turkey. The research group was determined by the criterion sampling method, one of the purposeful sampling methods. The data were analyzed with various quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques. In this study, it was concluded that blog-based digital writing processes were effective in developing Turkish language teacher candidates’ digital writing levels, attitudes towards technology, and multi-dimensional 21st century skills. In addition, it was observed in the study that the knowledge and opinions of pre-service teachers about blogs expanded after the blog-based digital writing application. In general, the participants expressed the opinion that blogs would positively affect writing skills. The majority of the pre-service teachers stated that they improved themselves in digital writing after the writing applications.
