Archaeological structures and their environments, economic, social, cultural, political, etc. in the pre
and posthistorical period of the communities living in it. they reflect their lifestyle and characteristics. These
structures and built environments have a very important role in carrying the past to the present.
This study covers the ancient cities of Cilicia Pedias region, which is a part of Anatolian lands from history to present. In this region, there are 14 ancient cities that have been known to date and can be located. 4
of these cities cannot be located on the ground for various reasons. With this study, the determination and
comparison of the urban building elements of the ancient cities that can survive until today have been made.
Ancient cities evaluated in this context are Tarsus, Anavarza, Misis, Magarsos, Soloi, Kastabala, Adana, Augusta, Aigeai, Epiphanae, Flaviopolis, Issos, Mallos and Zephyrion ancient cities.
Thanks to the inventory created at the end of the study and introducing each ancient city, we were able to
see and evaluate the assets of the urban elements in a regional sense.
