Özet

In this study, it was aimed to examine the effect of riddles on the problem-solving skills months children. study group consists children studying the kindergarten of 2 different private schools in the city center of Mus in the 2020-2021 academic year. The model of the research is the pretest-posttest unequalized group design, which is one of the weak experimental designs. During the data collection process, the "General Information Form" created by the researcher, containing personal information about parents and their children, and the "Teacher Information Form" to obtain information about the children's teachers were used. In the study, the "Problem Solving Skills Scale (PSSS)" developed by Oguz and Koksal-Akyol (2015) was used for the experimental and control groups to measure the problem-solving skills of the children. During the application process, 16 riddle activities developed by the researcher were applied to the experimental group for eight weeks. As a result of the findings of the research, it was concluded that riddles were effective on problem solving skills.
