Özet

One of the biggest global problems today is energy. Therefore, interest in renewable energy sources has increased to meet the energy needs of the growing population without endangering our planet's limited resources. Considering the difficulty of meeting the rising global energy demand with limited sources of fossil fuels, greenhouse gas emissions, climate change, food security, and economic problems, the importance of developing renewable energy sources that are alternatives to these outputs becomes evident. In this context, renewable energy sources are value-added resources that have played a role in meeting countries' energy demands in recent years thanks to their environmentally friendly, economical, greener, and sustainable features. One of the most preferred and produced sources in biofuel production processes is bioethanol. Bioethanol is a renewable, economical fuel type that can be produced at a lower cost compared to petroleum. To use bioethanol commercially in the long term, utilizing natural raw materials is an important solution step. In this direction, the processes of converting lignocellulosic waste biomass, which is abundant in nature, into bioethanol are the right approaches in terms of both a sustainable environment and a global economy. In addition, microbial bioethanol production due to lignocellulosic biomass hydrolysis with cellulosic enzymes is compatible with the zero-waste strategy and provides lower-cost and safer fuel to the energy sector.
