Predictions for charm and beauty production in hadron-hadron collisions are presented in the framework of the Quark-Gluon String Model (QGSM) and of the Lund Model (implemented via the PYTHIA algorithm) in terms of total cross-sections and inclusive spectra of charm and beauty mesons and baryons for different parton structure functions and K-factors. The structure of events with and without heavy-flavour production is also discussed. The features of the two models are exhaustively investigated and compared with each other and with existing experimental data. Predictions are given at the energies of present and future colliders.
