Purpose: To evaluate the initial respiratory impairments [pulmonary functions and arterial blood gases (ABGs)] in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) according to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Functional Rating Scale-Revised (ALSFRS-R) at the time of admission.
