The subject of this article is the pottery production of Western Anatolia discovered during the excavations of Tepebag Mound, which is located in the middle of the Cilician Lowland and is among the largest mounds of the region. Considered among the Orientalizing pottery group, which is produced in Western Anatolia and is one of the most characteristic pottery styles of Western Anatolia, these pottery productions consisting of Northern and Southern Ionian vessels of daily use, Ionian kylikes and commercial amphorae are dated to the 7th and 6th centuries BCE. In this study, the mentioned wares are classified and dated in accordance with their forms and production areas and the goal is to determine the position of Tepebag in the commercial relations between Western Anatolia and Cilicia. Scientifically evaluated for the first time, wares of this period present new and significant contributions about the overseas connections of the Cilician region.
