Abstract

Storage performance of 07 N 08 (Hicaznar) and effects of different packaging materials were evaluated in this study. Fruits were sorted after harvest and divided for three treatments as 1-Control, 2-Strecfilm wrapped (SFW) and 3-Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) and stored for six months at 6 degrees C, >90 RH. Results showed that the MAP had the highest visual and quality scores at the end of the storage period. It can be concluded that six months storage of 07 N 08 (Hicaznar) pomegranate variety can be done successfully.
