Özet
The degree and number of rooting in olive varieties varies depending on the variety. It is important to know the rooting status of varieties and to be able to increase this ratio with different applications. It is well known that plant growth regulators and stimulants have recently gained importance in improving the quality of cuttings. Therefore, in this study, humic acid, seaweed, and Biotarm applications were used to examine growth differences among different olive cultivars. In the study, the rooting degree and duration were determined using humic acid, seaweed, and biotarm applications on the olive varieties Arbequina, Halhalı, Kozan Yerli, Nizip Yağlık, and Edremit as plant material. The rooting percentage, number of shoots, number of leaves, number of roots, and root length of the cuttings completed rooting were determined. As a result of the study, with Biotarm and Humic acid applications in terms of root length the highest values were determined in all varieties. The variety with the highest root formation has determined to be the Nizip variety (7.74 pieces). Although the Arbequine variety is a dwarf variety, the number of rootings was similar to other varieties, which was remarkeble. Rooting percentages ranged from 26.66% (2024 Arbequine and Nizip Control) to 76.66% (2025 Halhalı and Edremit Biotarm application). The most rooting varieties have been the Halhalı and Edremit varieties. Lower rooting rates were detected in the Arbequina and Nizip varieties. Biotarm application has come to the fore in all varieties in terms of increasing the rooting percentage. In order to protect olive groves and achieve higher yields and profits, newly established orchards must be formed with the right varieties. With this study, it is planned to increase the rooting success and save both labor and time while producing olives with seedlings that are true to their names, suitable for the region, and whose variety characteristics are known. In future studies, the research will be expanded by applying different doses.
