Bu çalışma, 1962-2010 dönemi için Türkiye’de Feldstein-Horioka yaklaşımı ile kısa ve uzun dönem sermaye akışkanlığı arasında ayrım yapmaya olanak tanıyan Jansen (1996) ve Jansen ve Schulze (1996)’in hata düzeltme yaklaşımı çerçevesinde tasarruf ve sermaye arasındaki ilişki araştırılmaktadır. Bu kapsamda, kısa ve uzun dönem sermaye hareketliliği ile cari dengenin sürdürülebilirliği ilişkisi de analiz edilmektedir. Her iki modelin analiz sonuçları, analiz döneminde Türkiye ekonomisinde sermaye hareketliliğinin tam olmasa da yüksek olduğunu göstermektedir.
This paper examines the relationship between the saving and investment in Turkey for the period 1962-2010 using both Feldstein-Horioka approach and the error correction model of Jansen (1996), Jansen and Schulze (1996) that allows distinguishing between short and long run capital mobility. Within this context, this paper also attempts to determine whether intertemporal budget constraint holds or not. The estimation results reveal that there is a significant short and long run relationship between saving and capital, indicating that capital is highly mobile.
