Abstract

Soil has long been used for manufacturing diverse materials alongside its major function as the medium of plant growth offering all the knowledge attained over millennia via its consumers. Its major use as an ingredient of pottery and construction materials is a process that causes the irreversible overuse of this highly precious natural material. However, contemporary land use approaches such as the Anthroscape-a renovated land use approach based on the traditional knowledge attained by long-standing experience-promise a sustainable and appropriate use of soil.
