Özet

This study was conducted between 2020 and 2023 in the greenhouses and laboratories of the Eastern Mediterranean

Transitional Zone Agricultural Research Institute. The research focused on evaluating the growth performance of

Feragnes and Ferraduel almond cultivars grafted onto hybrid Prunus rootstocks. Measurements of the grafted seedlings,

which were prepared in March 2022, commenced in May. The results indicated that rootstock diameter growth exhibited

variability within the range of 1–14 cm. Initial measurements revealed that the lowest diameter growth, recorded at 1 mm,

was observed in the Rootpack-20 control rootstock, while the majority of rootstocks demonstrated an average initial

diameter of 3 mm. Scion diameter growth followed a pattern similar to that of rootstock diameter growth, albeit generally

at lower values. At the onset of May, scion diameters in rootstocks such as KL-1 and FC-118 were measured at

approximately 3 mm, while rootstocks like GF-677 and GN-22 exhibited values exceeding 4 mm. By the end of October,

the lowest scion diameter values, ranging between 7–8 mm, were recorded in rootstocks such as KL-1 and FC-118,

whereas the highest value of 13.8 mm was observed in the KL-38 rootstock. Seedling height growth commenced at over

20 cm in early May, with KL-29 and KL-38 rootstocks reaching heights of up to 30 cm. The KL-38 rootstock recorded the

highest growth value, with a seedling height of 130 cm.
