Photoinduced reactions of some selected azodye metabolites as model substances were studied in aquatic systems with wavelengths above 230 nm. The results show that most of the investigated metabolites can be degraded to different conversion products. Rate constants, quantum yields, and half-life times are given. It was also found that UV-irradiation is a successful and rapid method to eliminate these compounds in industrial waste waters.
