Özet
Nickel-vanadium binary coating was electrochemically deposited on a titanium in view of its (Ti/NiV) possible application as electrocatalytic material for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). It was characterized using cyclic voltammetry (CV), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX). The electrocatalytic activity of Ti/NiV was studied in 1 M KOH solution using cathodic current–potential curves. The nickel-vanadium coating increases the electrocatalytic activity of the copper electrode for the HER. It is related to the surface morphology as well as synergistic interaction of Ni and V.
