Effect of different doses of 2,4,5-TP on the precocity and quality of some low-chill apricot cultivars

Özet

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of different doses of 2, 4, 5-TP (0, 20 ppm, 30 ppm) on the precocity and fruit quality of six apricot cultivars (Beliana, Canino, Feriana, Precoce de Colomer, Precoce de Tyrinthe, Priana) grown in the Mediterranean region of Turkey. For this purpose 2, 4, 5-TP was sprayed at the beginning of endocarp hardening. 30 ppm 2, 4, 5-TP in Priana, Beliana, Precoce de Colomer and Precoce de Tyrinthe and 20 ppm of the same PGR in Canino and Feriana improved the fruit quality markedly. No effect of the PGR was observed on the precocity.
