A 91-year-old woman was admitted to our clinic with recurrent squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the right lower eyelid. Excision of the tumor with partial inclusion of the right lower orbital rim resulted in a full-thickness defect in the right lower eyelid. A paramedian forehead flap and titanium mesh plate were used for reconstruction. For reconstruction of the conjunctiva, we used a mucosa graft, which was harvested from the maxillary sinus that was already exposed as a result of inferior orbital rim excision. Mucosa grafts are frequently used in conjunctival reconstruction. This is the first case report in which a maxillary sinus mucosa graft was used in conjunctival reconstruction.
