Anatolian Conference 3rd on Organic Chemistry, Antalya, Türkiye, 13 - 16 Mart 2023, ss.71, (Özet Bildiri)
Acridines (1,4-dihydropyridine
derivatives) are prevalent in plant cells and possess intriguing biological
features akin to those of Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NADH), an
essential coenzyme 1. Important biological features enable these compounds
to be utilized as an
antibacterial agent 2, in the treatment of hypertension3,
as -channel openers in cardiac disorders 4, as a carbonic
anhydrase inhibitor 5 and, most critically, in the treatment
of cancer
6. Moreover, due to
their advantageous features, acridine compounds are exploited as
photoinitiators in laser applications7.
In this study, newly designed
coumarin-acridine hybrid compounds, which may have various biological activity
potential, were synthesized (not in the literature), and the structural
analysis of the compounds was performed by methods such as melting
point, FT-IR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR.
