Abstract

Coccoidea species on Taurus cedar (Cedrus libani A. Richard) was collected natural cedar forests, reforestations and urban green areas in mainly Aegean, Marmara, Mediterranean and some neighboring regions. Totally 11 species were determined from Diaspididae (8), Coccidae (2), Pseudococcidae (1), four of them (Chionaspis kabyliensis Balachowsky, Dynaspidotus jaapi (Leonardi), Gomezmenoraspis nr. pinicola (Leonardi) and Phenacoccus arambourgi (Balachowsky) are new records for Turkish fauna. Ceroplastes floridensis Comstock and Dynaspidiotus britannicus (Newstead) are new records on C. libani in the world.
