Özet

Devonian units belonging to the Geyikdağı Unit are located in the Eastern Taurides (Feke, Adana). In this study, the ostracods from these Devonian limestone and shale alternations were studied. 21 genera and 29 species of ostracods were described. The obtained ostracod species are represented as the Eifelian Mega-Assemblage indicative of shallow-water marine conditions. The diversity of the aforementioned ostracod species increased in the Frasnian. Moreover, the metacopid/podocopid ratio indicates that the palaeoenvironment slightly deepened from littoral environment to shelf at the Givetian-Frasnian transition, while in the Famennian, the number of podocopid ostracod species diversity increased and the environment became shallower. The identified ostracod assemblage was found to be related to the Laurasian, peri-Gondwanan and Gondwana Middle-Late Devonian ostracods.
