Abstract

Introduction: Vitamin D is known as an anti-inflammatory, antitumor, and immune-modulating hormone, which plays an important role in common diseases in the geriatric population, such as hypertension and cerebrovascular disorders. Vitamin D deficiency has been linked to various diseases in the literature. However, the association between vitamin D and multiple comorbidities remains unclear due to limited published data. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the association between vitamin D levels and multiple comorbidities in elderly patients.
