Apple is a very important fruit for human nutrition and Turkish economy. An increasing trend is observed in harvested areas, yields and production, exports and imports of apple in the world. This study evaluates production and yields, harvested areas, value and quantity of exports and imports of apple during last 25 years. Based on these variables countries were ranked accordingly. This study also evaluates place of Turkey in world apple farming and trade. The current situation of Turkey and improvement opportunities were discussed.
