Mimari söylemler; döneminin sosyal, politik, kültürel ve ekonomi gibi toplumsal hayatın alanlarıyla ilişkili oldukça güçlü kavramsal veri aktarma potansiyeline sahiptir. Bu bakımdan mimarlık alanında yürütülen akademik çalışmalar, tartışmalar ve mimari pratiklerin yanı sıra mimari söylemler de önemli bir yere sahiptir. Bu çalışmada mekânı var eden kavramların mimari söylemler aracılığıyla ortaya koyulması hedeflenmiştir. Durum çalışması bağlamında, bireyin temel yaşamsal ihtiyaçlarını karşılaması ile birlikte en çok diyalog kurduğu ve ona yüklediği anlamla kimlik kazandırdığı mekân olan konutlara odaklanılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında, 1950’lerden günümüze kadar olan süreçte, mekân yaklaşımı ile ön plana çıkan 9 mimarın kendi tasarladıkları, en bilinen konut uygulamalarına dair söylemleri üzerinden kavramsal bir okuma modeli önerilmiştir. Konut pratiğe dair söylemlerin değerlendirilmesinde içerik analizi yöntemi ve ara yüz olarak da MAXQDA programı kullanılmış ve farklı yapı tipolojilerinde ve/veya kişiler özelinde de sınanabilecek bir model ortaya koyulmuştur. Bu bağlamda elde edilen kavram ve alt kavramlar aracılığıyla konut pratiğine dair farklı bir bakış açısı geliştirilerek yorumlanmaya çalışılmıştır.
Architectural discourses have the potential to convey very strong conceptual data related to areas of social life such as social, political, cultural, and economic life of the period. In this respect, architectural discourses have an important place in addition to academic studies, discussions, and architectural practices carried out in the field of architecture. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the concepts that create space through architectural discourses. In the context of the case study, the focus is on housing, which is the place where the individual meets his/her basic vital needs, establishes the most dialog and gives identity with the meaning he/she attributes to it. Within the scope of the study, a conceptual reading model is proposed through the discourses of 9 architects, who have come to the forefront with their spatial approach in the period from the 1950s to the present day, on the most well-known housing practices they have designed. The content analysis method and the MAXQDA program as an interface was used to evaluation of the discourses on housing practice, and a model that can be tested in different building typologies and individuals was put forward. In this context, a different perspective on housing practice was developed and interpreted through the concepts and sub-concepts obtained.
