Abstract

This case study examined the integration of blogs into the second language teacher education program with the aim of evaluating its effectiveness in preparing prospective teachers for their profession and improving their ICT skills. Thus, a 6-week course was implemented with 20 third-year ELT students at Necmettin Erbakan University, Konya, Turkey. The data were gathered through a participant information form, follow-up lesson evaluation reports, and a post-study questionnaire which the participants completed. The findings revealed the students' positive perceptions of blogs in preparing them as future teachers, catering to their needs and expectations, and helping them improve their ICT skills.
