Özet

The assessment of air quality has become a major topic during the last years because of its effects on our lives. Air quality and concerned air pollution have great importance on human health, environment and ecology. This study focuses on the sources of the pollutants via correlations between them. Particulate matter (PM10) and sulphur dioxide (SO2) are major pollutants which contribute to air pollution mostly. Climate variables have important roles on air pollutants because of the effects of its transportations, emissions and depositions etc. This study presents the relations between air pollutants and climate variables. The statistical analysis has been performed to reveal the relationships. Pearson correlation analysis has been used to understand the meaningful relations among the elements as statistically significant. Principle component analysis and multiple linear regression method have been utilized for determination the correlations also and the sources of pollutants via meteorological parameters. According to the simulations, the results have shown that climate variables have effects on air pollutants due to the different terms such as seasons, months. The obtained results may be used for the prediction of air pollutant concentrations via climate variables and evaluated for interpretation of urban atmospheric mechanism.
