Özet

Richter’s hernia, involving partial entrapment of a hollow organ wall, is rare in calves and may lead to necrosis and fistula formation. This report describes three Simmental calves (3–4 months old) presenting with non-reducible umbilical swellings and abomasal discharge. Surgical exploration confirmed Richter’s hernia with an abomasal fistula. Affected segments were excised and repaired. All cases recovered without complications. These findings highlight the importance of considering Richter's hernia in calves with atypical umbilical presentations, particularly when accompanied by fistulous discharge.
