In traditional approaches, regardless of the nature and context of violent acts, television violence is viewed as virtual violence and treated as a homogeneous phenomenon. However, in examining the form and structure of fictional violence, it is necessary to show what kind of messages are used and the intensity level as well as discomfort level. As a matter of fact, the content of violence in a cartoon series is different from the content of violence in the news or series. The patterns of the ones applying violence and exposed to violence (or both at the same time) and the paths they follow provide differential arithmetic of the dangers and opportunities for different groups of people in the world of television drama (Gerbner and Gross, 2014: 360-361). The sample of study was "Black and White Love" legal RTSC application of which was made for its removal from broadcasting due to its violence content.

The coding scheme developed by the content analysis method is used based on the differences in the amount of violence depictions (counting), intensity (severity of violence) and attractiveness (being used as an attractive element) in the study. When this scheme was developed, new titles were added according to the elements in the sequence based on the coding format used by Mustonen and Pulkkinen (1997), or coding schemes were adapted by extracting existing classifications. Regardless of whether the amount of violence in the program is physical or verbal, it was counted. A total of 46 acts of violence were found in one section. The incidence of violence in the total 144 minutes including generics was 3.13 minutes. In other words, the series audience followed a violent action in averagely every 3 minutes. It was found that physical violence in the subdivision of severity of violence was included in the series at a ratio of 50%. Verbal violence was found to be at a ratio of 40% in average and nonverbal aggression pattern ratio was detected to be at a ratio of 10%.

In the study, the content of the violence in the television series was found to be interesting in terms of detecting the amount, intensity and attractiveness of the presentation of violence. In the study, the contexts of violence obtained by coding were in the nature of fictional productions. These constructs were dealt with in anticipation of the awareness of possible harmful effects of the spectators, rather than discussing the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of television violence. In general, there is a need for a model to guide the acts of violence in the society and in the narrow sense the violence related studies in the media. While this study portrays violence in the media, it assesses the ways in which violence occurs. As a result, the study aimed to increase the capacity of assessing media content for violence.
