Özet

Purpose: In the diagnosis of herpetic infections, lesions of 1 to 3 days' duration have been proposed to be the most suitable ones for Tzanck smear. In this study, it was aimed to evaluate whether or not a diagnostic yield is obtained when the smear is prepared from older lesions.
