Valencia orange is widely produced in Cyprus due to the ecological conditions being suitable for the cultivation of late ripening cultivars. The most widely used rootstock in Cyprus is sour orange. However, the marketing problems experienced due to the medium-small fruit of the Valencia orange led to the start of trials in order to increase the fruit quality by using different rootstocks. In this study fruit yield and pomological characteristics of Valencia orange grafted on to Australian sour orange, Carrizo citrange, Gou Tou sour orange, Cleopatra mandarin, Sunki mandarin, Swingle citrumelo, Troyer citrange and Tuzcu 31-31 sour orange were investigated under Cyprus ecological conditions for 2018-2019. The highest fruit yield was determined in the trees grafted onto Carrizo citrange, Troyer citrange and Tuzcu 31-31 sour orange whereas the lowest fruit yield was determined in trees grafted on Gou Tou. Troyer citrange was prominent in fruit weight and fruit height. It was determined that the highest number of seeds fruit-1 was in the samples grafted on to Swingle citrumelo. Ripening indexes (TSS/TA) were insignificant in both years.
