Çimento sektörü, Türk inşaat sektörünün önemli alt sektörlerinden biridir. Türk çimento sektörü ulusal ve uluslararası pek çok firma ve/veya ortaklıklardan oluşmaktadır. Türk çimento firmaları, son yıllarda artan üretim kapasiteleri ile yurt içi ve yurt dışı satışlarını arttırarak, bölgesel olarak öne çıkmayı da başarmıştır. Son yıllarda ülkede yaşanan ekonomik dalgalanmalara 2020 yılında başlayan COVID-19 pandemisinin de eklenmesi ile ekonomik krizin etkileri pek çok sektörde hissedilmiştir. Bu çalışmada, ülkenin önde gelen sektörlerinden biri olan, çimento sektörünün 2015-2020 yıllarındaki finansal durumunun değerlendirilmesi hedeflenmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında; ilk olarak literatür taraması yapılmış ve yapı sektöründe sık kullanılan finansal oranlar belirlenmiştir. Çimento sektörünün finansal durumunun belirlenmesi amacıyla; likidite analizi, finansal yapı analizi, faaliyet durum analizi ve kârlılık analizi yapılmış ve çıkan sonuçlar doğrultusunda firmalara öneriler sunulmuştur.
The cement industry is one of the most important sub-sectors of the Turkish construction sector. The Turkish Cement sector consists of many national and international companies. Turkish cement companies have managed to stand out regionally by increasing their domestic and international sales together with developing production capacities in recent years. With the addition of the COVID-19 pandemic, which started in 2020, to the economic fluctuations experienced in the country in recent years, the effects of the economic crisis have been seen in many sectors. This study it is aimed to evaluate the financial position of the cement sector, which is one of the leading sectors of the country, between the years 2015-2020. Within the scope of the study, literature was reviewed, and frequently used financial ratios in the construction sector were determined. In order to determine the financial position of the cement sector, liquidity ratio, solvency ratio, efficiency ratio and profitability ratio were used, and suggestions were presented to companies in line with the results.
