Abstract

Background: In this study, we investigated the effects of locally (intraplantar) applied remifentanil, a mu opioid receptor agonist, to the paws and tested whether locally N-methyl D-aspartate (NMDA) receptors agonist or antagonist can modify remifentanil-induced effects in diabetic rats.
