The current situation of persimmon (Diospyros kaki L.) cultivation's in Turkey, future trends of its production and major gel germplasm sources ale presented and discussed. It is communicated by using a questionnaire with 45 institutions that can be interested with persimmon germplasm resources in Turkey and the detailed data's were reported. According to obtained data's. persimmon is under trials at 13 different organizations all over Turkey, covered 74 cultivars and types.
