Abstract

Introduction: Pancreatic cancer is the fourth leading cause of cancer-related death in the United States among both men and women. Macrophage inflammatory protein-1 alpha [MIP-1 alpha/CC-chemokine ligand 3 (CCL3)] is a small chemotactic protein detected in several kinds of tumor tissue samples and functions as a key regulator of cancer progression. This study aimed to investigate the serum MIP-1 alpha/CCL3 levels in pacreatic adenocarcinoma (PA).
