Abstract

In this study, the effects of various plant composts and manures on yield and quality of cultivar Dorit 216 were investigated. Wheat straw (WS), corn, tobacco and banana aerial stems as plant material and poultry manure (PM), farmyard (FY) and combinations of these materials (WS+PM, WS+FY, corn+PM, corn+FY, tobacco+PM, tobacco+FY, banana+PM and banana+FY) were applied at add 3 tons/da. The highest yield was obtained from the banana compost treatment (595.4 g/plant), followed by WS+PM with 490.2 g/plant, tobacco+PM (464.6 g/plant), banana+FY (456.9 g/plant) and PM only (436.6 g/plant).
