Abstract

Özet: Bu çal›flmada Yumurtal›k Koyu’ndaki eksi bal›klar›n›n (Leiognathus klunzingeri) üreme özelliklerini belirlemek amac›yla, Ekim 1997-Eylül 1998 tarihleri aras›nda ayl›k örnekleme yoluyla elde edilen 430 adet birey incelenmifltir. Ortalama Gonadosomatik ‹ndeks (GSI) ve Fulton’un Kondisyon Faktörü (K) de¤erlerinin ayl›k de¤iflimlerinden, bu bal›klar›n üremelerini Temmuz’dan Eylül’e kadar olan dönemde gerçeklefltirdikleri; ilk efleysel olgunluk boyunun erkeklerde 5,8 cm iken, diflilerde 5,5 cm oldu¤u; olgun yumurta çaplar›n›n 0,8-1,0 mm aras›nda ve y›ll›k ortalama yumurta verimliliklerinin (Fekondite) ise, 2789 ± 2109 oldu¤u saptanm›flt›r. For this purpose, 430 individuals were obtained by monthly sampling between October 1997 and September 1998 and then they were examined. By using the monthly changes in the mean values of the Gonadosomatic Index (GSI) and Fulton’s Condition Factor (K), we found that reproduction period occurred between July and September, length at first maturity was 5.8 cm and 5.5 cm for males and females, respectively, egg diameter was between 0.8 and 1.0 mm and mean annual fecundity was 2789 ± 2109.
