Özet

Based on local newspapers of the period, such as Yeni Adana, Güney Postası, Güney Film Postası and archival documents from the Golden Bolls’ own archive, this paper discusses the early years of the Golden Boll Film Festival and its impact on Adana’s local cinema culture from political and socio-cultural dimensions. This perspective allows me to discuss the historiography of film festivals within local contexts.
