Abstract

In this paper, the new supporting material for GLC obtained by etching the surface of glass beads with a new method (described previously) showed the significant advantages for separation of fatty acids methyl esters over unetched glass beads and other column packings as supporting material of GLC columns. Quick and excellent separation of mixtures of fatty acid methyl esters has been obtained using a minimum sample size of 10(-1) mu L.
