Özet

This chapter highlights the importance of learner-centered approaches in the transformation process of smart learning environments (SLEs) in education. SLEs leverage technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) to provide interactive and personalized experiences that can be tailored to the individual needs of students. Such environments increase student motivation by personalizing learning processes and have a positive impact on learning outcomes. They also allow individuals to manage their own learning processes. In this chapter, the importance of learner-centered design in the development of SLEs is emphasized, and the effects of user-friendly interfaces, emotion-aware learning systems and inclusive design strategies on engagement and motivation are discussed. In addition, the importance of strategies such as feedback, gamification and collaborative learning in the learning process is discussed. Future directions include ethical data management, empathy-based learning systems and efforts to increase accessibility. In this framework, the study draws attention to the potential of smart learning technologies to create an accessible and inclusive educational environment that empowers individuals.
