Abstract

Nuclear data on (a,n) reactions have very important role in the fields of radiation shielding, and spallation neutron-production. In present study, equilibrium and pre-equilibrium reaction cross-sections for some target nuclei irradiated with alpha have been calculated up to 30 MeV alpha incident energies using ALICE/ASH nuclear reaction model code. Hybrid model and geometry dependent hybrid model (GDH) for the pre-equilibrium calculations and Weisskopf-Ewing (WE) model for equilibrium calculations have been used. In the model calculations, different initial exciton number (p+h) and level density parameter are investigated and the obtained results are compared with available experimental and evaluated data.
