Özet
With the global shift from grey to green material pathways, the recycling and reuse of waste materials play a critical role in achieving sustainable development. In the present study, fully sustainable, cost-effective filler materials exhibiting excellent thermal and mechanical performance were developed for potential thermal energy storage, targeting concentrated solar power (CSP) systems within the broader framework of green energy technologies. For the first time in the literature, shapeable geopolymers were developed for targeted use in concentrated solar power (CSP) and industrial thermal energy storage applications as filler materials. These fillers were produced by recycling demolition waste, as well as by-products from the iron and steel industry and thermal power plants, resulting in materials that are not only economically viable but also practical in terms of handling and application. Main component materials of these sustainable fillers have the potential for commercial availability, pending further optimization of their compositional variants. Additionally, they are highly recommended as promising candidates to support sustainable and green energy initiatives, especially for CSP applications.
