Çalışma, sosyal ağlarda sıradan bireylerin paylaşımlarının içeriği üzerinden, toplumsal bir sorun olan şiddeti çevrim içi alanda betimlemeyi ve çarpan etkisi üzerinde durmayı amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmada sosyal ağlarda yaygınlaşan “potansiyel şiddet üretme makinesi” isimli video kapsamında, toplumsal cinsiyete bakış çerçevesinde kadına şiddetin gerçeklik boyutu üzerinde durulmuştur. Çalışma nitel bir çözümleme olarak desenlenmiştir. İçerik analizi yöntemi ile videoya yapılan yorumlar ele alınarak değerlendirilmesi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Videoya yapılan yorumların kadına şiddet içeriğini yeniden ürettiği ve çok boyutlu iktidar ilişkisi kurguladığı görülmüştür. Çalışmada sosyal medyanın sanal olduğu ön kabulü eleştirilerek, şiddet dilinin çoğaltılmasında önemli ip uçları sunduğu bulgulanmıştır. Sosyal ağlarda şiddetin kurgusal olmadığı, münferit olmasından çıkarılarak toplumsal bir sorun olarak ele alınmasının gerekliliği vurgulanmıştır. Aynı zamanda çalışmada gerçeklikle kurgusal temsil arasında duran sosyal ağlarda şiddetin, sanal olmadığı bizzat deneyim haline geldiği ve çoğalabildiğine dikkat çekilmiştir.

The study aims to discuss and describe the spread of violence that is a social problem through the content of the sharing of ordinary individuals in social networks. It is emphasized to gender that violence against women in the media is not symbolic but perceived as reality while working under the name of "potential violence producing machine" which is becoming widespread in social networks. The study was designed as a qualitative analysis. While the interpretations of video were being discussed through content analysis, the evaluation of violence over gender was realized. It has been seen that the comments made about video regenerate the content of violence and regulate the relation of power. In the study, it is detected that important points are given in the reproduction of the violence language of the crucial points created by criticizing the preliminary assumption that social media is virtual in the study. It is emphasized that violence in the soscial networks is not fictional; it should be taken as a social problem by not perceiving it as individuality. At the same time, it is emphasized that the violence in the social network that is between reality and symbolic representation, is not virtual, it becomes an experience itself and it can increase.
