Özet

Eddy Current brakes are widely used on Automotive Industry as the auxiliary braking system, especially for engine testing and analyzing operations. Eddy Current Brakes are versatile since it produces braking effect without any touch, simple design and high efficiency. These advantages bring low maintenance cost and usefulness. On the other hand, the braking performance of eddy current brakes are changing nonlinearly with respect rotor temperature. The reason behind of this issue is magnetism effect of the metals that explained by Faradays Law. In this study, the effect of rotor temperature will be explained and the correlation between rotor temperature and produced torque is investigated at different rotor speeds.
