The occurrence of the predatory fly Coenosia attenuata (Stein, 1903) is reported for the first time in Turkey. The population dynamics of the fly in irrigated cotton fields in the eastern Mediterranean region of Turkey is described, and the role of C attenuata as a biological control agent in the agroecosystem is discussed.
