Abstract

We identified a protein phosphatase 1 (PP1)-targeting compound, C31, that inhibited Ebola virus transcription and replication. C31 bound to the PP1 C-terminal groove and increased VP30 phosphorylation. C31 has better pharmacological properties than 1E7-03 and is a good candidate for future antifiloviral therapy.
