Heavy metal measurements were made with ICP-MS method. Received hair (neck portion), and smokers who nail samples (10 male and 10 female) and non-smokers (10 male and 10 female) studies. Cd element measurements were evaluated statistically (ANOVA). Cadmium values of hair and nail samples collected from non-smokers compared to nonsmokers (P < 0.05), differences were significant and important, but these differences in male smokers and smokers, compared with data obtained from women (P < 0.05), differences were significant. Nail samples were compared for levels of Cd, depending on both the smoker and nonsmoker groups according to sex in both these groups were statistically significant differences (P < 0.05) was observed. Hair and nail samples of smokers than nonsmokers in both men and women were found to be high levels of cadmium.
