Özet

Background/Problem Statement: Adolescence is an important period in which both the ability of decision-making develops and the decisions related with life have to be made. Decisions made in this period may shape, enhance or limit the adolescent's life. The research in the subject of the development of the educational, occupational and personal decision-making strategies and styles in this period have accelerated the studies of measuring these qualities. The Adolescent Decision Making Questionnaire (ADMQ) developed by Mann, Harmoni and Power is a frequently used scale in defining the decision making styles of 13-15 year old adolescents. The purpose of the scale is to assess the coping styles used to cope with the anxiety related to decision making the self-esteem. In this study the reliability and validity of ADMQ based on Janis and Mann's Conflict Theory, which is aimed to determine the adolescence decision-making styles, were investigated on Turkish adolescents.
