Abstract

Energy demand for heating and cooling of buildings can be minimized through usage of thermal energy storage (TES) systems in building materials. TES in microencapsulated phase change materials provides a new solution to thermally regulated energy efficient buildings. This study summarizes the investigations and analysis of microencapsulated PCMs for building applications.
